Project Overview:
The District Council had placed itself in voluntary engagement, and needed to demonstrate its improvements to a statutory Improvement Board including the Audit Commission, GO-WM and elected members. A new and inexperienced Chief Executive was appointed together with a young Corporate Director (Resources) with a remit to modernise the council and achieve a respectable CPA rating. With this backdrop, Colin was appointed as the interim Corporate Director (Services) to work closely with the new senior team, to introduce performance management; raise service standards; devise a programme of activities to help achieve improvement; and also mentor officers and members in their development.
