Project Overview:

On the back of our previous bid support, Carillion Utilities Services commissioned EiB to support the production of two significant and high profile tenders to E.ON; the first for the provision of Infrastructure Services and the second for the provision of New Connections, both through the creation of new Alliances. In particular, we are asked to produce the responses to the Customer & Stakeholder Management and People, Leadership & Culture sections in order to clearly demonstrate Carillion’s approach, verifiable evidence to support this and robust proposals for the Alliances.

Our support involved gathering source documentation and meeting with key individuals to generate the core content of each of the responses for which we were taking a direct lead. We then drafted comprehensive but succinct responses to the specific questions posed by E.ON and then strengthened and refined them to address feedback from Carillion senior managers.

Project Outcomes/Impact:

• A detailed storyboard for each response;
• Draft responses produced in line with agreed timetable for initial approval;
• We were viewed as an integral part of the bid team, working effectively with Carillion personnel at all levels;
• All responses completed to a very high standard within agreed timescales;
• High levels of client satisfaction with our support and the quality of the responses we produced for the tender document.
