Client Assignment:  Bid Development for HA MACs 13 and 1

Project Overview:

On the back of our previous bid support, EiB were commissioned by the Carillion Highways and WSP partnership to support the production of two significant and high profile tenders to the Highways Agency MAC Areas 13 and 1.  The work initially involved an assessment of the Annex 24 processes for two of their current contracts in order to identify best practice to be used in developing the new process flows, activity notes and procedures as well as providing evidence for the two tenders. We subsequently worked with Carillion and WSP colleagues to produce the new process flows, develop a range of procedures and develop the evidence to back these up. Our support involved extensive liaison with key individuals to gather source documentation and using this to produce robust content and supporting evidence.

Project Outcomes/Impact:

• An assessment of existing processes and procedures;
• Process flows aligned with the HA’s Annex 24 and addressing tender requirements;
• 12 key procedures as required by the HA;
• An evaluation of the first Area 13 tender with a report making recommendations for improving the tender for Area 1;
• Robust and verifiable evidence to support the Part A process flows;
• All aspects of our support completed to a very high standard within agreed timescales;
• Strong and effective relationships with the Bid Director and Bid Managers as well as other CarillionWSP personnel at all levels;
• High levels of client satisfaction with the quality, flexibility and responsiveness of our support.
