Project Overview:
The Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council was under pressure to provide cost effective services within a background of zero Council Tax increases. It was also developing some ambitious regeneration and redevelopment plans for the town and area. Graham was a member of the team commissioned to carry out a review of the role and operation of the Culture Sport and Leisure function.
A comprehensive review was carried out that fully engaged officers and elected members to address the key issues including the imminent CPA review, future plans and budgeting processes
Project Outcomes/Impact:
- The review led to a realisation of the strategic importance of culture, sort & leisure.
- Initiation of wider consultation and debate on the council's role in the community
- Improved LSP focus and engagement
- Led to a comprehensive review of the role of culture, sport & leisure in the regeneration and future growth of Kings' Lynn and West Norfolk
