Project Overview:
Following issues around leadership and management capacity being highlighted within its Comprehensive Performance Assessment report, the Chief Executive of North Warwickshire Borough Council commissioned Excellence in Business to design and implement a 360° appraisal process for senior and middle managers, which would then lead to the creation of a management development programme.
We designed the appraisal documentation; trained managers and staff in the process; analysed the results; and provided the feedback to manager on the outcomes. Following on from this, the project involved designing a management development programme of 10 modules to reflect the outcomes of the 360° appraisal process; agreeing the core content with the client's HR Department and management team; developing the training materials, pre-course work and delivery methodology; and delivering the modules over a two year period.
We were also asked to produce a brief report on the main management issues and concerns that were discussed as part of the training modules with recommendations on how these could be addressed.
