Project Overview:

A new Chief Executive was appointed to Staffordshire County Council with a remit to modernise the council and achieve an 'excellent' CPA rating.  With this backdrop, Colin Savage, EiB Associate Consultant was appointed Corporate Director of Change to work closely with the Chief Executive and devise a programme of activities to help achieve this new vision. Colin led the development and implementation of an improvement support programme.

Project Outcomes/Impact:

  1. Creation of a structured and measurable organisational development programme as the foundation for and means of improving services, successfully cascaded to officers and members;
  2. Successful implementation of the organisational restructure;
  3. Widespread ownership of the new Vision and set of Values;
  4. As a result of the consultation, the council developed a clear and agreed understanding of its relationship with and contribution to the community and key stakeholders
