Project Overview:
The West Midlands Local Government Association wanted to create and make available a high level training & development programme for their member authorities. The purpose of the programme was to support capacity building within the Region and to provide the opportunity for officers and members to share experience and learn from others through a range of 'open' events run throughout the year.
Excellence in Business, in a strategic partnership with the WMLGA, have designed, developed and delivered a wide-ranging number of highly regarded workshops on an annual basis over the last 8 years, based on the identified needs of the Region.
Project outcomes/impact:
- The production of an up-to-date and stimulating annual programme of training events;
- High levels of delegate satisfaction with the content and relevance of the training as well as the knowledge and skill of the trainers;
- A large proportion of delegates requesting an 'in-house' version of the event they attended;
- A positive impact on addressing the capacity building needs of West Midlands local authorities.
