Sue Seaman

Associate Consultant

Susan has worked as a consultant specialising in people development for the last 20 years.  She has worked extensively in the public sector and has a breadth of experience in operations, human resources and central services, working with all levels of staff up to and including Board level.

Susan has a wealth of knowledge and practical experience of leadership development, executive coaching, change management, equality and diversity; gained from successfully working with many Central and Local Government organisations across the whole of the UK and overseas in countries such as Poland, Bosnia, Afghanistan and the States of Jersey as well as other parts of central Europe.

Her work has also incorporated the personal development of a range of different and diverse people classed as "minorities" within organisations. This involved creating development programmes which tackled both individual and corporate discrimination and which built a more inclusive culture. The results of this work led to the winning of a series of National Diversity Awards over a period of 6 years.

Susan has also led major cultural change projects within large complex organisations and whilst on a period of secondment to the Cabinet Office, she specialised in designing and delivering Leadership Development programmes across the whole of Whitehall for Graduate recruits and future leaders for the senior civil service.

More recently, she has been involved in the development of strategic capability, the creation of distributed leadership, the improvement of collaborative leadership within top teams, and the raising of the levels of "the transfer of learning" from development programmes into the workplace.

When she's not working, Susan is a volunteer for the probation service where she uses her excellent communication skills to work in partnership with Young Offenders providing them with both support and challenge to enable them to make informed choices, aiming to reduce re-offending  and tackling where possible  the root causes of offending behavior.
