Performance Management

Course Aims:

To provide senior and middle managers with the knowledge, skills and competence required to develop robust Performance Management arrangements.  To shift the emphasis of performance management from measuring activity to delivering a positive impact on performance. 

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the workshop, delegates will have the knowledge to:

  • Implement an effective approach to Performance Management at appropriate levels within their authority;
  • Shift organisational focus from measuring activity and task, to understandingoutcomes, outputsand impact;
  • Use performance management information to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement at all levels of the organisation;
  • Understand how technology can be used to implement and automate a performance management system;
  • Implement an exception based appraoch to performance management;
  • Use performance management to address the challenges involved in partnership based delivery.
