Developing Effective Partnerships with the Third Sector

Course Aims:

To provide delegates with an introduction to the key skills required to maximise the value of partnering

with the third sector and an opportunity for delegates to share their experiences through case study

examples of how efficiency and effectiveness can be realised through partnering.

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this workshop, delegates will:

• Have the ability to work towards meaningful third sector participation;
• Have the skills to develop a more effective, functioning and inclusive LSP;
• Be able to contribute to more effective local visions, set priorities and deliver services to reflect the needs and aspirations of all aspects of our local communities;
• Understand how to use the experience, knowledge, and skills of the third sector to help design and deliver more effective services;
• Better co-ordinate services in the public and third sectors, so they don't duplicate or contradict each other.
• Understand how benefits realisation will strengthen relationships and enhance collaboration between public agencies and third sector organisations to deliver mutual benefit.
